My Old Cars

One of my hobbies is tinkering
with old cars...

Last Updated November 2006

  My 56 Chevy
  • 1956 Chevy 210

  • 235 cid six, three speed manual shift, repainted original Dusk Plum and India Ivory paint scheme, interior redone with after-market black & white seat covers. All original Dakota car (except for orv mirror). Engine has 130K miles and never completely rebuilt. Had her since 1984. Pressed her into service as daily driver 20 mi. to work the winter of '95 when tranny went out on Plymouth. Started like a champ at -20F (with only a magnetic oil pan heater). On-going refurbishment. Need part numbers for a restoration?  Look at my Factory Part Numbers page.
  • Finally had to convert to a modern 2 wire alternator as the old generator finally gave up the ghost and burned out my ammeter and tachometer.

  My 48 Dodge
  • 1948 Dodge Deluxe D-24
  • SOLD
218 cid flat head six, three speed fluid drive trans, I repainted tan. All original Dakota car. Had been sitting in an alley when I found her in '79. Was a school car for local teen girl (who had brush painted it black over the original green color) up until it was abandoned in '76. Was really neglected mechanically, but ran smooth and always started. Had 136K miles and burned a lot of oil, but fun to drive. Got it for $150, sold it as-is in 1992. My first project car. (Note the 1949 dealer plate I put on the front).

  My 74 Plymouth
  • 1974 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus
  • WRECKED
318 cid V8, automatic, sienna metallic and black vinyl roof. All original. I am second owner, bought it in 1979. The Sebring Plus was the top of the Satellite line. Has the rally dash (same as roadrunner). Just turned over 100K miles in 2001. My kids drove it to high school until winter 2003 when son slid on icy highway and rear-ended a livestock hauler.  Now sits in the back yard awaiting a front clip...

  My 58 Plymouth
  • Other Cars
  • SOLD
I had a pair of 1958 Plymouths (a Belvedere and Plaza) Sold both in 2006 to a good home in North Dakota.  Just no time or garage space.
