Windy Hill Ranch has been my home for the last 32 years. South Dakota will always be my home. Me and my and two boys Justin, Mason. We are avid trail riders. We work cattle and love our horses. I probably shouldn't admit this but I bought all of my horses from the internet. It is safer for us and we would feel the need to buy all the broken and unwanted from the sales barn. If were not home we are with our horses. In the yard or riding. We feel fortunate to be able to have such wonderful creatures to share. I am always giving children rides because nobody asked me when I was a little person if I wanted a ride. So my family knows wherever we go that it is going to take a little longer if there are kids in the area we are riding because, I will ask them all. I am working on opening a youth riding center here at the farm but it is very slow going.
Company I started beading our breast collars for our horses a while ago. As I said we do go on many trail rides in the summer, so the people who saw them started asking where I bought them and where they could get one. Well the rest is sort of history. It is a great feeling to see my work on others horses.
I bought this horse from Harley & Ellie Helgeson out of ortonville mn. he is not the horse they said he was going to be. They said he didn't buck, he bucks, he rides out great, he wont. I have trained 5-6 horses and never had this much problem with any one of them.
Anna & Admiral- Admiral is going to be Masons new horse since Nelly went to Eureka to another family with kids
Justin & Galley
Galley is a 3yo and Justin loves training him because galley lets him. They work well together and he is very special to justin. The best thing since video games!! We bought him from Jennifer/Alan Hicks and Justin/Galley are on their website.
We recently bought these calves the holstein is colby pictured with justin and the black angus cross is sparky pictured with mason. Thanks going to bobbi and steve from the bs calf ranch http://bscalfranch.tripod.com
